Purvi received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, where her research focused on shoulder adhesive capsulitis. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Purvi has been practicing for 7 years. She has worked at the Sports Physical Therapy Institute in New Jersey and with the Georgetown University Sports Medicine Department after moving to Washington, DC. Purvi was a senior physical therapist for a New York based practice at the Sports Club/LA in Washington,DC. In October 2007, she launched SET Sports Physical Therapy.
Purvi obtained her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialty (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2009. She specializes in sports medicine and orthopedics with a concentration in manual therapy. Her primary interests include shoulder injuries, knee injuries, and post-operative cases. She has attended numerous manual therapy courses through North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Institute of Physical Art.
